The Victoria & Albert museum in London asked us to create a realistic sculpt of Frida Kahlo based on several ref images the museum had in their collection. We started this project from scratch and created a lifelike 3D sculpt of Frida her face. The great part of working in 3D is that we can easily adept new insights. We ended up creating 12 variations of the head from hyper realistic to abstract. The chosen design was 3D printed within a day and send to the museum for approval. We ended up producing the heads which fits their existing mannequins for the Frida Kahlo exposition last year.
